Geração Verdão  2020-2021

To raise awareness among children and young people about sorting and waste separation, Geração Verdão is presenting a new series of creative activities this year: For kindergarten and primary school children, the challenge is to build objects from different types of packaging per school year (e.g., Christmas ornaments, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day); second and third-grade students must create a poster about the history of an object related to the circular economy; and for older secondary, vocational and high school students, the activity consists of a video or animation about the circular economy. Decathlon Portugal participates in this initiative with the aim of combining the promotion of sports with the protection of the planet. The three winning schools of each level will receive a Decathlon check worth €200, for a total of €1800.

But that’s not all, as the students’ knowledge will also be put to the test. At the end of the three periods of the current school year (in December, April and June), a quiz will be held with content on sustainability and packaging recycling. The 5 winners of each quiz will receive tickets to the Oceanário offered by Pingo Doce.
