This is the slogan of the 23 PET-bottle deposit machines project launched on March 13 last year. The aim is to encourage citizens to adopt sustainable behaviour to recycle the collected material and use it as raw material for new packaging.
The handling is simple. Citizens drop plastic beverage bottles into the machines and receive a coupon for purchases at the store or collection point. Alternatively, it is possible to donate the value of the voucher to a social institution.
Already, establishments interested in receiving the amount donated by consumers can apply to the project website.
Help establishments disseminate this pilot project, led by a consortium composed of the Association of Mineral Waters and Springs of Portugal, the Portuguese Non-Alcoholic Soft Drinks Association (PROBEB) and the Portuguese Association of Distributors (APED).
